Why Driveways Express
Asphalt fails from the bottom up. Most driveways that crack early were laid on a weak base, compacted in a hurry, or graded so water sits on them. We build the part you can't see first.
We've been laying asphalt since 1990. There isn't a driveway, lane, or lot layout we haven't seen.
You deal with the people who own the company, and they're on site when the asphalt goes down.
Grading, drainage, and a compacted stone base decide how long a driveway lasts. We don't skip it and we don't rush it.
Every new asphalt installation carries a one-year workmanship warranty.
Our process

We walk the property, measure, check the base and drainage, and give you a written price. No obligation.
Removal if needed, grading for drainage, and a stone base compacted in lifts.
Hot-mix asphalt laid with a paver, rolled while hot, edges finished by hand. We tell you exactly when you can drive on it.

Customer feedback
“I reached out to Driveways Express and they were there quickly to give me an estimate. After agreeing on terms we set the date. His crew arrived to my home and were instantly moving. Everyone had a job and understood their responsibilities. Jim gave me a good walk down prior to pouring the asphalt and squared everything off to ensure all edges of my driveway were clean with a phenomenal reveal. At the completion of work Jim sat down with me and discussed the warranty, and expectations for the next few weeks while driving and operating equipment and vehicles. This group was a pleasure to deal with and highly recommend!”
“Jim was amazing to work with. Called him for an estimate and he came out to see the project. He was extremely nice and easy to work with, along with being thorough and precise. He exceeded my expectations! Couldn't be happier with their work!”
“We hired Driveway Express for our half-acre commercial parking lot, and Jim and his team did a great job from start to finish. They handled everything, milling, paving, and stripe painting, with excellent attention to detail and professionalism. The crew was efficient, pleasant to work with, and fair on price and prior commitment. Job well done. Thank you, Jim and the Driveway Express team!”

Straight answers
Typically 24 to 72 hours. Keep heavy vehicles off longer, and for the first few weeks in hot weather avoid parking in the same spot or turning the wheel while the car is stopped.
If the base is solid and the damage is on the surface, an overlay is usually enough. Widespread alligator cracking, sunken sections, and potholes that keep coming back mean the base has failed, and that takes replacement. We'll tell you which one you have.
After it cures, typically 6 to 12 months. Sealing too early traps the oils the asphalt needs to release.
Size, the condition of the base, how much removal is needed, access for equipment, asphalt thickness, and drainage work. Two driveways the same size can price very differently if one needs a new base and the other doesn't.
